Lizzie was born and raised in Denver, Colorado and began dancing at the age of 4. She has had extensive training in all types of dance including ballet, pointe, jazz,  leaps and turns technique, contemporary, musical theater, and tap. She danced competitively for ten years and traveled frequently to Los Angeles and New York to train with the industry’s best teachers and most renown choreographers.  Some of her favorite performances include “Clara” in the Nutcracker in both 1998 and 1999, Tanzsommer in Austria in 2003, the Broncos NFL Half Time show in 2004, and performing for Brian Friedman in Los Angeles’s Choreographer’s Carnival in 2005.  In 2005, Lizzie was accepted as a Performing Arts Scholarship recipient to Colorado State University.  She performed in numerous faculty and guest pieces throughout her time at CSU in the Fall and Spring showcases, and had the joy of being selected to perform in several of her fellow students’ Senior Concerts.  In addition to her performance experience, Lizzie has dance pedagogy training with an emphasis on terminology, choreography, flexibility and stretching, and dance history.  She obtained her degree in Human Development and Family studies as a graduate with honors in 2009 which has allowed her to connect with and teach students of all ages. Lizzie still enjoys taking class and is currently studying with a performance trainer to continue to build strength and knowledge to efficiently teach safe and effective flexibility and conditioning exercises.  She is excited to be starting her second season with Fusion and has loved getting to know the faces and families that make Fusion so special.
